Wood Cupolas
Cupola and Weathervanes make great looking additions to homes and other buildings. Cupolas can be used for ventilation or can just be a decorative accent. (Most of our cupolas are purchased as decorative accents.) In selecting the right size cupola for a building, a good rule of thumb is 1.25" of copula for every foot of unbroken roof line. The key is the unbroken roof line measurement. For example: if a roof section measures 24', the mimimum cupola should be 30". See below.

Extension Bases

Our cupolas are designed for a roof pitch up to 10" rise per foot (known as 10/12 pitch) - most roofs are not steeper than this. If, however, your pitch is steeper than 10" rise per foot, you will have to include an extended base with your order. It is important to order your extended base at the time you order your cupola.
